Week 17–Dec 1

We’re on the home stretch now–only two weeks until the end of the semester! My goodness, we’ve got a lot to do and not much time to do it!

English 10/English 10 Honors:
-We will discuss “Self Reliance” and begin discussing Henry David Thoreau
-Read Henry David Thoreau introduction p. 404 and “Civil Disobedience” p. 416 before class on Tuesday.
-Later this week, we’ll begin reading the poetry of Emily Dickinson and then we’ll move on to Walt Whitman next week.

Monday, Dec 1–Poetry Anthology Project due (project grade)
Friday, Dec 12–Unit 3 Test (test/writing grade)
Friday, Dec 12–Quarter 2 Book Talks Due **I haven’t had many do these yet. Don’t wait. We’re running out of time!
Tuesday, Dec 16, 6th period and 4th period Finals
Thursday, Dec 18, 2nd period Finals
Friday, Dec 19, 1st period Finals and mass

I won’t have tutorials on Monday, Dec 1, but I should have them the other days this week. Feel free to come and do a Book Talk or talk to me about preparing for Finals then!

Psychology:
We’ll talk about Critical Thinking this week.
