It’s Mid-July and we’re about a month out from the first day of school. I hope you’ve at least started reading The Scarlet Letter by now. Don’t wait until the last minute. It’s a great story, but the language can be dense and it’s easiest to read it if you read in smaller chunks at a time. 🙂 You’ll have a test on this novel on the 2nd day of school, and you’ll need to be ready to discuss it, too. Don’t think that you can just read SparkNotes/eNotes/Schmoop, either–I purposely ask questions that require that you read the novel.
