2015-16 Week 21 – Jan 19

Happy Martin Luther King, Jr day, everyone! I hope that you’re enjoying your freedom today–a freedom that MLK and many others fought hard for. No, they weren’t fighting for freedom for school but freedom to be yourselves and to be seen and treated as equals. I hope that you take a few moments today to remember Dr. King and his important words. Take 5 minutes and listen:

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr’s, “I Have a Dream” speech

Please also keep those of us in mind who will be traveling to Washington, D.C., later this week for our own march–the March for Life.

Let’s move on to some info for this week.

First, regarding your Modern Transcendentalism Projects. I’m almost done grading them–hopefully I’ll be finished in the next hour or so. I’m noticing that most of you did not include a Works Cited page (and those of you who did include a Works Cited page had some errors on it). Since this information did not come from your own head, you should cite it–both any written info and any photos or images that you used. A failure to include a Works Cited page will result in a 10 point penalty. Because so many of you have not done this, I’m going to give you a last chance opportunity. If you bring in your Works Cited page tomorrow–Tuesday, Jan 19 (and if you’ve already done it, you can bring in a corrected one. Make sure to check MLA format for Works Cited pages!), I’ll still give you credit.
